decided to file an appeal against that judge’s ruling because they refuse to stop fighting for what they feel is the right thing to do.
You see, Teddy P. actually didn’t have a lot of money left toward the end of his life, but what he does have is a very valuable estate, meaning any future films, documentaries, etc. can be very lucrative endeavors, so the children and others are stating that it is not right for his wife of only 2 years to have sole control and ownership of that, as well as the direction of his legacy…they also believe that Joan only wants to profit off of his legacy. “I don’t want to comment on the things he [my brother] did,” said Teddy P.’s daughter, LaDonna Hollerway, of the will her brother submitted. “All we want is what’s right.”
Since winning the court ruling in October, Joan Pendergrass’ attorney, Helen McCrary, said that Joan is moving forward with plans for a movie and other products and is only concerned with preserving her husband’s legacy. McCrary said the appeal could not change Joan Pendergrass’ status as administrator of the estate.
“We’re not concerned with it except for the fact that they just can’t seem to rest without bothering Joan,” McCrary said.
Now there are always three sides to every story: her side, their side and the truth, but right now the destiny of Teddy P.’s will lies in the hands of the courts.
Okay ILOSM family, sound off on this one and let us know what you think.
