As we previously reported, in a recent Instagram post, Tyrese took his 10.4 million followers on a journey with him, back to the house where the John Singleton’s Baby Boy movie was filmed, which was also the first movie Tyrese starred in. Tyrese had just attended John’s private funeral and was still dressed in his funeral attire, as he weaved in and out of moments of sadness over the loss of of his friend, as well as the joy of the good times they shared.
Tyrese captioned his video with:
“Still can’t believe it RIP this all hurts so bad.”
In the video, as Tyrese stepped out of his vehicle and stood in front of the home, he said “This is where it all started. I don’t now if I feel like laughing or crying. … This is where we shot all the scenes. We did majority of the filming right here.”
The Baby Boy star also reminisced about the Singleton directed/written film being his “first time on a movie set, right here in South Central L.A.” He continued, “So many memories, so many moments… I’d never think in a million years, 20 years later, I’d be here.”

Tyrese also expressed interest in buying the Baby By house from it’s current owner and “opening it up as a tourist attraction,” in memory of Singleton and the cult classic film they created there.
The trip was a tough one to take and understandably so, as many celebs and fans alike are still in disbelief of the sudden passing of Singleton at the young age of 51.
