It didn’t take long for Twitter to come through with their commentary, and it is truly a wide range of opinions escalating between both sides of the argument.

@MichelleObama Who is the divorced Dad you were referring to? I guess that’s how most people view that segment of the population, huh? pic.twitter.com/BBByz5ePQh

Michelle Obama compared Trump to a "divorced dad." I was worried divorced dads were gonna organize a protest march, but then I realized none of them would show up on time.

Lol @seanhannity you really are the worst of all the men. Your network & you are sexist, racist, and homophobic all the time. She should’ve compared Trump to shit smearing irate entitled toddler which is a much closer description in both your cases https://t.co/XndzlBGf3N

Fox News reports that host Sean Hannity sat down recently with Geraldo Rivera and Tammy Bruce to discuss Michelle’s comments and the consensus was mixed, with a surprising sentiment from Geraldo, who is a divorced dad.
“She’s equating, she’s reduced us to a sexist stereotype with a bad parent who gives candy and lets the kids watch too much TV because we have a guilty conscience about the breakup of the marriage. I think it’s a rare misstep though Sean, in fairness,” Rivera said.
Tammy Bruce, though, backed Hannity up by stating;
“The problem here is it’s not just insulting to men and for every woman and man out in that audience who didn’t quite know why she was insulting them but it relies also on the other side of the coin which is the gender stereotype of women that all women are supposed to be either great mothers or only women can raise children or only women can be good parents.”
Michelle probably never expected the conversation to be split in such a diverse manner in this post-Obama era, then again she does have books to sell and nothing brings discussion and buzz better than controversy. Well played Mrs. Obama.
