ILOSM fam,’ ever had one of those moments where you just had to learn a lesson the hard way? Like, no matter how many warning signs there were telling you to choose another route, you just had to go straight forward at that fork in the road. Many of us have been there, done that in some capacity and Thursday (11-23-17) was that day for former I Love New York 2 and Real Chance of Love VH1 reality star, Kamal “Chance” Givens.
Before proceeding to the tom-foolery fiasco that could have turned out waaay worse than it did for Chance, I’ll first explain who he is, for those who don’t know. Chance and his brother, the late Ahmad “Real” Givens, became TV sensations after first competing on I Love New York 2 in 2008, to win over Tiffany “New York” Pollard’s (of Flava of Love fame) heart. As fan favorites, they went on to further garner a name for themselves on the VH1 spin-off reality shows, I Love Money, and Real Chance of Love.
The two reality stars, along with their brother, Micah, also made up the rap group The Stallionaires. Now that we’re all caught up, let’s dig into the story behind what convinced Chance to play around with some random monkeys in Thailand.
Word on the Old School curb is that Chance and singer, Ricky Romance (brother of B2K singer, Raz B, pictured below), were filming a documentary titled “Ni&&az in Thailand.” Okay let’s just pause right there for a minute…

I’m not sure what the doc’ is about, but based on the title, combined with Chance’s history of oftentimes oddly comical adventures, as well as Raz B’s attention seeking displays of controversial moments, it’s probably filled with some crazy shenanigans that only they could pull off. Back to this monkey attack though, here’s what was just reported:
Via TMZ:The “Real Chance of Love” star was in Thailand Thursday shooting a documentary — “N***** in Thailand” — when he and Ricky Romance started playing with a group of monkeys at a sanctuary. A baby viciously attacked Kamal.[…] Kamal was rushed to the ER with gashes on his legs and hand. He got six stitches on his hand and a bunch of bandages to cover the wounds. Ricky tells us he’s a lucky camper … the monkeys could have ganged up on him and killed him. They’ll be flying back to the United States Saturday. As for the documentary… they had one day of filming left. It is unclear how they will incorporate the attack.
Video Of The Monkey Attack
Watch the video of the attack below…apparently the monkeys scared the hell outta Chance and everybody else around him and the humans in turn, scared the monkeys half to death.
Speaking of death, Chance is very lucky he didn’t leave Thailand that way. Like my Momma would always say, “God is good all the time and all the time God is good.” Wishing a speedy recovery to Chance.
