Nas and Kelis: Will They Find An Answer?…
Supposedly, she would have custody on Christmas, and he would get New Year’s Eve. Well, unfortunately, that allegedly didn’t happen — according to documentation.
According to the Plaintiff (Nas), Kelis (the Petitioner) decided to leave the country close to his custody time — the source specifically notes December 2018. Reportedly, his ex took a trip to Cartagena, Colombia, and she’s accused of taking their son with her. The rapper says she did it without his consent and in violation of their custody agreement.
“On Christmas, Petitioner informed me by text message that although her ‘plan’ had been to bring the minor child back to me in Los Angeles for New Year’s, the plan had changed,” the rapper mentioned. “She then stated that the new plan was to come back on January 4, 2019.”
Yet, he says she didn’t return to L.A. on the specified date. Instead, she allegedly made him wait until January 14, according to The Blast. Reportedly, the rapper says he was unable to speak to Knight while his son was out of the country. The source further states:
“Nas accused Kelis of willfully violating the custody order and refusing to allow him to see his son. He also claimed [she] refused to pay $8k in sanctions she was ordered to pay previously.”
Nevertheless, his son’s mother told him that she wants to stay in Colombia with her Colombian husband and tend to a farm. However, that’s not how a custody agreement works, right? You can’t just “do” because you want to do it.
