Nelly’s Rape Accuser Releases Disheartening Statement About Him & He Claps Back

Since the weekend, Nelly has been making headlines for his arrest following rape allegations. After he was released from jail, he wasted no time sounding off about the situation and adamantly refuted the claims. However, that doesn’t mean his accuser is backing down. Now, she’s actually accusing the St. Louis rapper of bullying her in the media in an effort to intimidate her. According to TMZ, the victim’s attorney has released a statement criticizing Nelly for the way he’s publicly handled the situation.

Blasted In The Media:

It has been reported that the accuser’s attorney, Karen Koehler, isn’t very pleased with the letter Nelly’s legal team sent to prosecutors. Koehler has described Nelly’s words as “verbal attacks” filled with “derogatory and defamatory statements” directed toward her client. In a nutshell, the statements appear to be nothing more than threats, according to Koehler and she explained how the statements are also forms of threats, which can also be considered criminal in the state of Washington. “It is morally reprehensible for an accused person and his bully lawyer to issue derogatory and defamatory statements against a young alleged rape victim.” She added, “It is also criminal — in the State of Washington — when those vicious attacks are issued in the form of threats.”

Koehler also blasted Nelly’s attorney for suggesting her client is only interested in fame and fortune. For those who missed it, Nelly’s attorney reportedly said the accuser is “a person with an agenda and clearly she has one. The agenda is money, fame, and notoriety.”

Nelly Claps Back:

As expected, Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, has fired back with a statement to Koehler demanding that she take the time read over the previously released statement again. Rosenblum released a statement to TMZ about Koehler’s statement on behalf of her client. “I would suggest rereading the [intimidating a witness] statute. I would further suggest talking to some of the unbiased witnesses.” Rosenblum continued, “Nelly will continue to respond to her client’s baseless allegations.”
