Aaron Hall recently did an interview to give his side of the story about the fallout with Teddy Riley and he has a few “choice words” for his former best friend. One word was “square.” That’s right…Aaron called Teddy a square. He also called him a few nig**s as well. Ouch!
There once was a time when both of these cats were creating some great harmonies together in the group Guy, bringing us the new-jack-swing/R&B smashes like “Groove Me” and “Let’s Chill,” but now they’re far from being in harmony with each other and as a matter of fact, it doesn’t even sound like they can be in the same room together…geesh! Guy was formed in Harlem in 1987 and back then Aaron and Teddy were almost like brothers- they did everything together. Aside from writing songs for their own group, Riley and Hall also collaborated on other songwriting and production projects, including Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative” and Johnny Kemp’s “Just Got Paid.” Then something happened…
I loved Guy and some of Blackstreet songs. I hated why Guy broke up, and now this stupid mess is going on. They need to get together and squash this and stop taking it to the media, that is what grown men do. Best friends talk things out, get it together Teddy and Aaron!!
