Dougie Fresh could probably step inside of a monastery and get all of the monks hype. This dude can rock a house like NO other! He and a bunch of other artists (too many to name them all) paid homage to Kool and the Gang. The one thing that stood out was that the ladies of back-in-the-day hip hop, definitely proved why today’s music scene needs them DESPERATELY- MC Lyte nailed her performance of “Summertime” and Missy Elliot, Da Brat, Total and Lil’ Kim, put these new schoolers to shame and did Kool and the Gang’s music justice with their performance of “Ladies Night,” as did all of the other performers, including the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
