Well, Mary-Kate…
According to People and In Touch, they’ve been through a lot. At one point, according to the sources, Mary-Kate was struggling with a severe eating disorder. There were times she was taken from school just to ensure she’d eat. Likewise, reportedly the twin had an adult sitting with her while she’d eat.
In Touch reports that, in 2004, Mary-Kate “checked into an undisclosed facility for anorexia after several months of public scrutiny of her weight loss.” Her representative at the time, Michael Pagnotta, stated as follows:
“This is a challenge that Mary-Kate has made a decision to face. This is a challenge she will meet.”
Then, according to an interview with People in 2004, the twins “flatly denied” any problems. “Being in the public eye, you’re labeled that you have an eating disorder,” said Ashley.
“‘You have a drug addiction’,” Mary-Kate chimed in. “We don’t have problems!” Ashley frustratingly continued.
Well, several people feel differently about their appearance. At 33 years of age, it’s looking kind of rough — a far cry from 30-year-old sister Elizabeth.
