Halle Berry dropped a very interesting piece of info about the 20 year old daughter of the former President and First Lady of the United States, that made many say ‘Whaaat?!!’ During her an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Halle dropped some jewels about Malia Obama. *Scroll down for video*
By now, most of us would agree that Pres. Obama and Michelle Obama are the most down to earth husband and wife duo to ever grace the White House. Apparently, they’ve passed those character traits onto their children, Malia and Sasha.
During her WWHL interview, Halle revealed that while working on her 2015 sci-fi CBS television series, Extant, Malia Obama worked as her personal assistant (P.A.) on the show.
Halle on What Malia Was Like On The Job
The job of a personal assistant in Hollywood could range from getting coffee, to babysitting a star’s dog on the set, to running rampant to find a celebrity’s specific request of having large bowls of only green colored Skittles and all-black jelly beans everyday in their dressing room, to changing a blown out lightbulb. According to Halle, Malia attacked her P.A. job head on and handled herself with so much poise and humbleness, that even Halle was blown away by her. Check out what else Halle said about Malia below:
“She [Malia Obama] was fantastic, she was amazing. […] She was down to do whatever a PA is asked to do, and I had wild respect for her for that,” said Halle.
The One Problem Malia Had On Her Job As A P.A.
Ms. Berry did admit that she and many others on the Extant set had their fair share of ‘fan moments,’ which made it difficult for them to treat her as a regular personal assistant. However Malia was trying extremely hard to be viewed as just a regular P.A. and not the daughter of one of the most powerful couples in the world:
“Everybody couldn’t really see her as a PA, although she tried and tried to be one. […] We just couldn’t really see her as one, but to her credit, she tried very hard to be one.”
Halle then joked that she really wanted to ask Malia things like, “Can we call your dad or your mom? Yeah I was such a huge fan of her. She was amazing… She is such a smart, beautiful, young woman. Look at who her mother and her father are, so duh! It was amazing.”
FYI: Malia aspires to have a career in film production and is attending Harvard University. We wish her much success and cannot wait to see how she will impact the world in her own right.
