That’s right, she is a Levert! Her Pops is the late, great, Gerald Levert and her name is Camryn Levert. Now you can clearly see those Levert genes in her facial features, can’t you?!! Camryn is Gerald’s youngest child and she’s biracial- her Mother is White. Check this out family, Camryn first began her singing career at the age of just 5 years old! I guess it’s kinda hard not to become a singer, coming from a bloodline of SANGERS like her family.

Camryn was just 8 years old years old when her Dad died and she’s now 17 (she’ll be 18 in May of this year). Just like Gerald’s other two children- his son, LeMicah, and his daughter, Carlysia- Camryn has a very close bond with her siblings and her iconic Grandfather, Eddie Levert, of the O’Jays.

Camryn is aspiring to make a name for herself in the family’s music business also. She is a singer and has opened concerts for several artists, including The O’Jays, The OMG Girlz, Tank, Diggy, Jacob Latimore, Tiffany Evans, Lil’ Flip,  and others. Although her time was short with her Pops, Camryn has very vivid memories of him and often pays very touching tributes to Gerald, whom she refers to as her “angel,” on her social media pages:

Today makes 9 years… And I miss you just the same as I did 9 years ago. I really really miss you. I hope you’re having a great time in heaven. I really like this picture of you. Like we mentioned earlier, Gerald’s children are close, but at one point their mothers had to battle it out legally to gain their fair shares of Gerald’s estate after he passed. They have since worked it out as far as we know and everyone’s now living happy lives, as the Levert kids evolve into their own.
Hopefully we’ll be hearing more music in the future from Camyrn Levert because it’s always a beautiful thing to see the offspring of legends pick up the torch and carry their parents’ legacy.
