Most of us Old Schoolers remember when Meagan Good was a youngin,’ standing outside “Big Worm’s” ice cream truck in the 1995 classic film, Friday. We also remember when she made her presence known in Eve’s Bayou. But now 31 year old Meagan is a beautiful, intelligent woman, with a bangin’ body and at one point, a very known rapper had her all to himself as his woman.

Who Did Meagan Good Date?

In a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Meagan revealed that she was in a serious, relationship with 50 cent…for an entire year! That took everybody by surprise, because as we all know, 50 is a controversial dude, but Meagan has a reputation of being a good girl. This also explains why they had such good chemistry in 50’s “21 Questions” video years ago.

Here’s the thing though, Meagan said she did NOT want anyone to know he was her man at that time, but there is a good reason why:

Meagan Good: “Just to bring clarity on that (the relationship with 50), that was over a decade ago and it was for about a year. … I kept it under the radar intentionally because…at that time in my career, I’d just come off of [the movie]  Biker Boyz, I’d just done the music video and my career was going in a really great way. And what I didn’t want was my connection to him to be the catalyst in any type of success that I had.”

She also made it clear that she was with him because she genuinely liked/loved him, and not for his money because she made her own:

“I didn’t want anything from him [50 Cent], I’m not that type of person, I’ve always made my own money, I’ve always taken care of myself, I’ve always taken care of my family. So for me it was about protecting myself because if people couldn’t see the relationship for what it was, they would label me a certain way So I just kept it under the radar and the fact that people found out 10 years later, I’m like, I was like 21.”

According to Meagan, 50 is nothing like what the public knows him to be:

“People would be surprise by what a nice human being he is. You have to remember this is someone who was raised by his grandmother. So you have to understand that even when you see what’s in the public eye, it’s not necessarily a true representation of that person’s heart. And I wouldn’t have been with somebody who’s a negative person, or a mean person, or whatever it was. It was definitely a person that…when I knew him, he was very kind.”

Her Past Issue With The Game

Good also had to confront 50’s former G Unit artist, The Game, over a rhyme he put in a song about her.

In his song, “Wouldn’t Get Far,” Game rapped, “Like Vida Guerra, a$$ took her to the top/ She’ll give you some brains you let her throw up the Roc/Let her put on your chain, she’ll throw you some cock/ Picture that like Meagan Good and Jamie Foxx.” Meagan said in the interview,  “I felt a kind of way, I had to call him [The Game]” to let him know that she did not appreciate him putting out a fictionalized story about her and Foxx. She said everything is all good now though.

Happily Married Now

For the record, Meagan is now happily married to her preacher husband, Devon Franklin. The two made headlines prior to their marriage in 2012, because they revealed that they remained celibate and did not have sex until after their wedding.
