Eunetta Boone started her career as sports reporter for the Baltimore Sun, becoming the first African-American woman to cover sports in Baltimore.

She Worked on The Fresh Prince
Eunetta Boone. One of our vets. You have seen her work on television comedies from “My Wife and Kids” and “The Hughleys” to “One on One” and “Living Single.” She worked as a screenwriting instructor at UCLA Extension in between gigs. Rest well, sweet lady. Thanks for the laughs. pic.twitter.com/741tpIL4a5

Boone also worked on the staff of NBC’s The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and also created One on One spinoff series The Cut, which ran for two seasons on UPN from 2004-2006.
Boone took a break from television after One on One and spent time teaching screenwriting for UCLA Extension. She returned to producing last year on the sitcom Raven’s Home.
Oscar nominated director Ava DuVernay paid tribute to her on Twitter writing:
“Eunetta Boone. One of our vets. You have seen her work on television comedies from My Wife and Kids and The Hughleys to One on One and Living Single. She worked as a screenwriting instructor at UCLA Extension in between gigs. Rest well, sweet lady. Thanks for the laughs.”
Boone is survived by her mother, Eunice Taylor; a sister, Regina Ward, and two nieces.
