As headliners across the U.S. discuss the talk-show hosts financial loss with Weight Watchers, she was also in the media this week for a totally different reason. . . . The Michael Jackson Documentary! Many fans voiced their opinions on Oprah’s decision to interview and host a special for Michael Jackson’s accusers.
It was reported by Ebony earlier this week, that even the Jackson Estate is suing HBO for the “Leaving Neverland” Documentary. This special “interview” hosted by Lady O, is also set to air on OWN Oprah’s Television Network.

On Wednesday, February 27, it was reported that Weight Watchers shares dropped almost 36.1% and is definitely going to affect Lady O’s share with the company.
Apparently on Tuesday, February 26, the company stated it was “disappointed with our start to 2019” and unaware of the shocking “hit” their share would receive the next morning.
Unfortunately, the “New Year, New Me” motto for 2019, isn’t going in the direction Weight Watchers hoped for! CNN states that “CEO Mindy Grossman attributed the problem to the keto diet, a popular eating regimen that makes bread and other carbs taboo.”
From the looks of it, many people are opting out of paying for Weight Watchers memberships as the company’s sales are also declining.
