Judith was also in the Academy Award winning 2013 doc 20 Feet From Stardom. I loved that movie. It’s a must see if you love old school music and unsung talent. Judith is an amazing singer so it’s sad to see someone clearly out for the money attacking her and of course Prince. Smh
I agree Jay, Judith is a great singer and I wish her much success. I also thought it was kind of weird that Judith’s former producer was going after Prince because if what Judith’s lawyer is saying is actually true, Judith was not contractually obligated to that producer, nor anyone else during the time that those recordings were created. Only time will tell though.

I really don’t see what damages can be claimed if the recordings were given away. If the album is good, that should make the next one worth even more. How do you prove losses on free goods? If Sony is saying giving away music is damaging the worth of the artist, then why do they allow their recordings to be streamed for next to nothing?

Why Prince needs to stay close to God and leave that industry alone …
