ILOSM family, we have very sad news to report this evening. Actor, Chadwick Boseman, who’s best known for his lead role as “King T’Challa” in the film, Black Panther, has sadly passed away. He was just 43 years old, and apparently he was quietly in the fight of his life recently, unbeknownst to most of his fans.
Associated Press has just released details of how he died:
[Chadwick Boseman] died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.
Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.
Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” his family said in the statement. “From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more- all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”
Our deepest condolences go out to Chadwick Boseman’s family and loved ones. May that king rest in peace and power, after a beautiful job done here on earth. Join us in paying tribute to Chad with song- “Gone Too Soon”…
