Sad news to share today I Love Old School Music fam’…Lisa Marie Presley — Elvis Presley’s daughter and Michael Jackson’s ex-wife — has passed away at 54 years young.

According to reports, Lisa suffered a cardiac arrest Thursday (1/12/23) morning and was ultimately pronounced dead after being taken to a Los Angeles, CA hospital.

On Thursday morning, Lisa’s housekeeper found her unresponsive inside her Calabasas home. Lisa’s ex-husband, Danny Keough, had just arrived home (they lived together), and performed CPR on her until paramedics arrived and took it over from there, administering an epinephrine shot to Lisa, in efforts to revive her. At that time, paramedics were able to revive her pulse, after which they transported her to the hospital.

Lisa Marie’s mother and Elvis’s widow, Priscilla Presley has now released a statement, via her rep, regarding her daughter’s sudden passing:

“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Lisa Marie Presley was her parents only child. Throughout the years she followed in her dad’s path, becoming a singer and songwriter, releasing her debut album, “To Whom It May Concern,” in 2003.

Lisa’s marriage to Michael Jackson became one of the most talked about marriages of that era. She married the king of ‘music’ one month after she and her first husband, Danny, divorced.

Although she and Danny were still divorced at the time of her death, the two still lived together up util her last days, and clearly cared deeeply for one another.

Lisa is survived by her Riley Keough and twin girls Harper and Finley Lockwood. Sadly, in 2020, her son, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide.
