Today, we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Mildred Riley, the mother of Teddy Riley and Wreckx-N-Effect rap legend, Markell Riley, has passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of her loved ones. Teddy Riley, the legendary producer and musician; and his sister-in-law (Markell’s wife), took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news with their followers.

In their Instagram post, they shared a collection of photos and videos featuring Markell’s and Teddy’s beloved mother. With a heavy heart, the Riley family wrote:
“Family, Friends + Followers, The Riley Estate is deeply saddened to share with you that our beloved Momma Riley has made her transition to heaven. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Our mother’s legacy will live on in all of our hearts, and her spirit will guide us through this journey of healing and remembrance.”
Teddy’s and Markell’s mother played a significant role in shaping the talent and success that they have achieved. Her love and support were instrumental in their journeys as artists/musicians. Her impact on their lives and the music industry as a whole cannot be understated.
