Right about now, R. Kelly is counting his lucky stars, because a very unlikely circumstance has prevented him from having to appear in what would have been his first court hearing in his string of sexual assault cases this week.

According to Daily Mail, the attorney for Faith Rodgers (R. Kelly’s sex assault accuser; pictured above, C) has just been convicted in an unrelated federal case and is now facing up to 40 years in the joint. What the….?!!!

So here’s what happened. Attorney Lydia Agu (who apparently also goes by the name, Lydia Hills) represents Rodgers, who alleges that during her 1 year relationship with R. Kelly (when she was 19), he sexually assaulted her, knowingly gave her herpes, raped her, and mentally and physically abused her.

Atty. Agu was gaining steam with her case against R. Kelly. Then everything took a turn for Agu and Rodgers in March 2019, when Agu stood trial during a 3-day hearing, in which she was convicted of federal obstruction charges earlier this week, reports DM:

Court documents obtained by DailyMail…show that Lydia Agu is now facing 40 years in prison after she was found guilty of conspiring with a client to hide the money made from the short sale of four properties from the government, despite the fact that the individual owed millions in restitution. Agu also profited from this scheme according to the FBI and federal prosecutors, as she is also a licensed real estate broker and represented her client in the sale. …

Documents…also reveal that Agu falsely stated to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York that her client did not stand to profit from the sales when asking that the government lift the liens on the properties.

But That’s Not All, How This All Started>>>
