Ludacris’ former DTP artist, Bobby Valentino, had a rocky 2017, after a transgender woman released video of him running out of her hotel room, partly dressed. This year, the “Slow Down” singer is faced with another situation- a new rape charge that has just been filed against him in Atlanta, Ga.. According to reports, investigating officers say the alleged rape went down last week. But Bobby Valentino had something to say about this.
Via TMZ: Law enforcement sources tell us … the R&B singer was named by a woman who filed a police report in Cobb County, GA early Monday, March 19. We’re told the alleged rape occurred Sunday. It’s unclear where or what the circumstances were. We do know Bobby lives in the area. Cops say they have an open investigation into the case, so they’re keeping details under wraps for now.
Bobby’s rep’ says somebody’s trying to extort him:
Via TMZ: Bobby’s rep tells us they are pursuing legal action “against what appears to be a weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives in the matter.” The rep did not say the alleged victim requested money directly from Bobby, but called her version of events an apparent false report. The rep added, “Bobby takes any allegation against women very seriously. However, false allegations damage true victims of sexual abuse.”
Not sure who’s telling the truth in this one, until more details are revealed, but this isn’t the first time for Bobby V…
The first extortion claim from Bobby V.
If Bobby’s side of the rape allegation story is true- that he’s being extorted- then somebody must really have it out for him these days. Below is a recap of what happened with him last year…
If y’all recall, Bobby V. also claimed he was being extorted after that infamous viral footage was released by transgender woman/alleged sex worker, Reima Houston, in July 2017. The transgender woman put him on blast, after he allegedly got busy with her, then tried to stick her for her paper. As payback, Reima posted a viral video of Bobby V. hustlin’ to pull up his pants and run out of the hotel room and down the hall without his shoes, as she is heard telling him to pay her and to “slow down.” After that video surfaced, more transgender women came forward with similar claims against Bobby V..
The backlash from Snoop and fans
As you can also imagine, following that viral video (which has been removed from Youtube), Bobby was the source of many memes. Even Snoop thought it was hilarious and Bobby also addressed his fans about it, but he did not deny it was him in the video. Check out the video clips below…

The lawsuits
Reima then filed a lawsuit against Bobby V. -for assault, battery, and stalking- after she said she’d been threatened for ‘outing’ him. Then Bobby hit back with a lawsuit of his own and a statement, claiming he didn’t know Reima was a transgender woman when they linked up in the hotel and that she was trying to extort him for money.
Bobby’s extortion claim against transgender woman
Bobby V. then told media outlets that Houston was “a prostitute” (but later recanted that claim), who was trying to “extort” him for $2,000. Houston denied both clams, but instead stated that Bobby V. owed her money and tried to play her by not giving it to her, so that’s why she says she made the video.
Transgender case mysteriously fades away
At this point, we aren’t sure if Bobby V. paid Reima the money she says she was owed or not, but months ago, after bashing Bobby hard online on several times, she abruptly stopped talking about him altogether. The case has also mysteriously faded into an oblivion.
Only time will tell how the new rape allegation will turn out for him.
