Two of Black Hollywood’s most revered actresses are D.C. natives, Taraji P. Henson and Regina Hall. The two talented, beautiful ladies have always come across like the kinds of sistas who can hold their own within powerful Hollywood circles; as well as at the block party, vibin’ to some ‘hood classics. During Sunday night’s BET Awards, they both proved the latter when they took to the stage during a segment, dedicated to their hometown, featuring legendary GoGo legends, EU & Sugar Bear.
Setting It Off Right
BET has always had a knack for selecting the right hosts to emcee their annual celebration of ‘All Black Everything,’ known as the BET Awards. And this year, they decided to tap the one and only Regina Hall as the hostess with the mostess. Hall is definitely one of the funniest ladies working today, and she’s been busting her behind in recent years, with roles in Girls Trip and the new update of the classic film, Shaft. But comedy is where her talent shines the most, as she showed while announcing she would be the host for this year’s ceremony:

Regina also showcased even more of her comedic skills, during a skit where she seemingly lost an award to a fellow actress.
