Rick Fox Leaves Company, He Found Out Shareholders Can’t Stop Calling Black People N***ers

Rick Fox is a man of many talents. Initially when people think of him they’re drawn to his thirteen-year career in the NBA. However he’s also found much success as an actor and entrepreneur. Unfortunately, Rick has stepped away from one of his businesses because of some very ugly, racist comments made by one of his company’s shareholders.

A New Business Venture

The Esports business, which is the professional term for competitive video gaming, has long been a source of entertainment since the early days of the video gaming industry. Four years ago in 2015 Rick purchased the now defunct Gravity Gaming and rebranded it as Echo Fox. When he first purchased the company Polygon reported;

To be known now as Echo Fox, the team was acquired and renamed at the beginning of this year. Gravity Gaming made two top six finishes in League of Legends‘ spring and summer seasons in North America, but failed to qualify for the world championship. The Daily Dot reported earlier this month that the team was sold for $1 million.

Since that time Rick has been enjoying much success, but unfortunately with success comes pitfalls. And in a lengthy statement Rick has decided to step down from his position with Echo Fox due to some nasty comments made by one of the company shareholders.
