We have extremely heartbreaking news to report today ILOSM family. Sanford & Son legend, Nathaniel Taylor, better known as ‘Rollo,’ has passed away. His close friend has now spoken out to memorialize Nathaniel and also inform fans of what caused his passing.

Nathaniel died on Thursday at 80 years young. According to his good friend, Alonzo Williams, Nathaniel was hospitalized on February 23, 2019, after suffering a heart attack. Sadly, on February 27th, Nathaniel “Rollo” Taylor made his grand exit from this earth. Below are the rest of the details Williams provided about his friend’s death:
“Today black Hollywood lost a 70s legend Nathaniel Taylor better known as “Rolo” of the hit show Sanford and son past Feb 27th at UCLA medical center of complications from a recent heart attack. Taylors character on Sanford and was the lovable, funny but questionable friend of Lamont the co-star of the show. Services are yet to be announced.”
According to reports, the Sanford and Son legend is survived by his wife, Loretta; wife Loretta; four daughters and two sons. Funeral arrangements are still pending.

As we mourn the passing of Nathaniel “Rollo” Taylor, we will also celebrate the legacy he built while here. With that said, we will forever remember one of Sanford & Son’s CLASSIC episodes- when “Rollo” tried to convince his homie, “Lamont” to let him smoke up the weed found in the junkyard…LOL.
