Cheryl “Salt James and Sandy “Pepa” Denton are currently catching major flack from fans, months after firing Diedra “Spinderella” Roper from the crew. Although it’s been a minute since Pepa and Salt gave DJ Spinderella the boot from the legendary rap trio, most of their diehard fans are still salty about it, especially after recently watching the whole thing play out on television. Now, Pep’ and Salt are being dragged repeatedly and consistently all up n’ down these social media streets.
What Had Happened Was…
Many of you may recall when we previously reported that in early May 2019, Spin’ announced she’d been fired months prior. She’d felt compelled to speak out to end the public facade that she was still a member of the group:
“I’m deeply saddened to share with all the #SaltnPepa and #Spinderella fans that I will not be performing on the #NKOTB Mixtape Tour. Despite my participation in promoting the tour and being highly publicized as one of the acts, in January 2019 I received a ‘termination’ email from #SaltnPepa excluding me from performances with the group…. I refuse to participate in misleading fans, ticketholders, and others who…. So, I’m making it clear now. Spinderella
