To say the past year has been a struggle for R. Kelly (51), is the understatement of the year and depending on which side you ask -his supporters or protesters- his situation may or may not have just gotten worse. Following Bill Cosby’s recent conviction, several of R. Kelly’s accusers and anti-protesters have turned things up against the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker. In a nutshell, they wanna see Kellz do two things: ‘Fly’ to the bank and pay them for alleged sex crimes; and/or “fly” right to jail, just like Bill. Now, a secret recording by one accuser is raising questions…

Accuser’s Secret Recording Surfaces

A 20 year old woman going by the name, “Jane Doe,” in court docs, recently filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly, claiming he got her drunk and high, then gave her an STD when she was 19. Following her claims, she later secretly recorded a phone convo’ of herself and Kellz.

In the convo’ she apparently was calling to discuss the mayhem that has recently transpired regarding her lawsuit claims. However, Kellz instead was heard schoolin’ her and asking if she’s now gotten her mind right again. He never admits any wrong doing, but rather, insinuates that the woman’s parents put her up to the lawsuit because they apparently don’t like him.

It’s also clear to hear that Kellz is no newbie to folks trying to trap him in awkward and/or incriminating situations. So even though he didn’t know he was being recorded in that phone convo,’ he still knew how to keep the conversation on the up and up. Therefore, the accuser probably didn’t get the reactions from him that she was hoping for. Nonetheless, the dynamic between Kellz and the unnamed woman is still interesting. Check it out below:

After listening to the recording, many are asking this: What does it really “prove,” other than the fact that whoever the woman is one the other end, knows R. Kelly?

R. Kelly’s Statement About New Allegations

Prior to the secret recording, Kellz recently addressed the newly reignited backlash he’s receiving and the ongoing ‘sex cult’ claims that have yet to be proven:

Via NY Times: “R. Kelly has close friendships with a number of women who are strong, independent, happy, well cared for and free to come and go as they please,” the singer’s management team said in its response. “We deny the many dark descriptions put forth by instigators and liars who have their own agenda for seeking profit and fame. … All of the women targeted by the current media onslaught are legal adults of sound mind and body, with their own free will. Law enforcement officials in Atlanta and Chicago previously have made ‘wellness’ visits to check on the women in question and have found nothing to cause alarm.”
