Her Mother Is A Musical Icon!
The little girl in the photo is none other than, Selah Marley, the daughter of musical legend Lauryn Hill and the son of a music icon, Rohan Marley (son of the late Bob Marley). Taking a different route than her musical parents, Selah is becoming successful in her own right as a model with an impressive resume that includes working with Chanel, Calvin Klein, Kanye West’s Yeezy Season presentation, Beyonce’s Ivy Park, and much more. Bearing a striking resemblance to her mother, the young model is more than just a beautiful face. Selah is college student who’s currently studying science and spirituality at New York University. I’m sure her parents are beyond proud…

What Selah Marley Is Working Toward In The Fashion World
In an article with Vibe magazine, Selah discussed creating a project to allow her fans to see another, deeper side. While modeling is nice, oftentimes, we don’t really get to know the person in front of the camera. Selah’s working to change that. While she isn’t exactly sure of her plans, if she’s anything like her mother, we have no doubt that it’ll be great.
“I’m working on a project that basically expresses the entirety of myself. I feel like modeling can be a little surface,” says Marley. “I think this project is really just the purest expression of myself and things I’ve internalized for a long time. It’s a little bit of a blog, Marley explained. I don’t really know what to call it, but it’s going to be a really interactive, visually enticing experience.”
As a child, Selah always wanted to be a model. At the young age of 11, Selah reminisced with Vogue magazine about her first experience with the catwalk. She told her Pops that she wanted to model and he asked her to strut her stuff in front of him, along with his girlfriend who was a model too.
“I was like 11, in sixth grade, and I lived with my dad, so he was staying at the Gansevoort, near Times Square, and I just told him, ‘Daddy, I want to model.’ He was with his girlfriend at the time, who was a model. He said. ‘All right, do the catwalk.’ So I did a little two-step for them!”
