If you’re a Sister Sledge fan, then you’ve probably noticed throughout the years, that the “We Are Family” sisters were lacking an important family member- Kathy Sledge. Kathy is the baby sis’ of the group who sang lead for many of their hits. Unfortunately, there has been nonstop tension between sisters, Kathy, the beloved Joni, Debbie, and Kim.
After Joni Sledge passed away suddenly on March 11, 2017, from an unknown cause at the age of 60, Kathy has now spoken out about the status of the family drama between them at the time of her death.
Kathy Explained The Decades Long Drama
As we previously reported, Kathy has been beefing with her three sisters for almost three decades. The family feud kicked off when Kathy informed her three sisters that she wanted to go solo in 1989, and according to an interview Kathy did with Yahoo, she said:
“They said: ‘If you do it [go solo], you gotta leave.’ They went out as a group on their own, and they had a photo shoot and didn’t invite me. And that hurt,” explained Kathy.
Hello. And Bye.
