We all know Snoop Dogg for many things. He’s a living legend in the hip hop game, prominent social media figure, an actor, a devoted father and husband. We also know Snoop as the blunt smoking, weed advocate, who once showed up to a televised red carpet event with two women on dog leashes. All of those dynamics make up the man that Snoop is today, but there is one thing he is not known for and that is, being a Christian gospel artist.
That newfound detail about Snoop, was confirmed by him months ago and has just been re-confirmed with his latest announcement of his upcoming gospel album, Snoop Dogg: Bible of Love. He also confirmed that he will be promoting his new gospel album at the annual Superbowl Gospel Celebration, which will be aired on BET.

Snoop is performing with the legendary gospel group, The Clark Sisters, as well as with R&B singer, Faith Evans, and gospels singer, Tye Tribett and Rance Allen.
A few months ago, Snoop first explained, in an interview with Beats 1 Radio, that he has been wanting to do a gospel album for a while and that he anticipated having some old school R&B legends featured on it with him:
“It’s always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that,” Snoop told the Beats 1 hosts. “I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.” “Me, Faith Evans, we talked about it heavily,” said Snoop. “She feel like she wanna get down with me,” he explained about working on the album with Faith. “All of the people that I know, from Charlie Wilson to Jeffrey Osborne, whoever I want to get down with. I’m gonna make it all the way right. It’s gonna feel good.”
In addition to having Faith’s and several other artists’ support, Snoop’s most proud supporter of the gospel album is his mother, Beverly Tate. His moms is an evangelist and a few months ago, Snoop shared a text message between he and his mother, who praised him for doing music about the ‘Word’…
