Steve Harvey’s Final Message On Show’s Finale…
As previously reported, NBC gave Harvey’s TV shows, Little Big Shot and The Steve Harvey Show, the boot this year. The network is replacing those slots with a talk show by former American Idol contestant, Kelly Clarkson, and comedian, Melissa McCarthy.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, Steve Harvey shared a heartfelt message for the last episode of The Steve Harvey Show. His message was filled with positivity and optimism about his departure and future endeavors:

“Seven years coming to a close. This is good though, man. You gotta understand how it works. Your life ain’t nothing but a book. I happen to be 62 years old. I am in the middle of my 62nd chapter of the book that I’m writing. There are some good books in there, too, there are some good chapters and some bad chapters. And some chapters that lasted a little bit longer than I wanted to … But in this 62nd chapter, I got my finger on the corner of the page. All I’m doing is I’m about to turn it. I can’t wait to see what God’s got for me on that other page.”
Much respect to Steve Harvey for reaching back to help others pursue their dreams, even in the midst of his recent career woes, which he will likely overcome eventually. That is, if he doesn’t do anything else to piss of his primarily African American fan base (i.e.: his prior endorsement of Trump, and his interview with comedian, Mo’Nique, that caused fans to label him an ‘Uncle Tom.’). Nevertheless, the Old school saying applies here: ‘No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up.’
