She is still in the studio churning out song after song. Her latest single released a few years ago is called “Come Over” and sounds very contemporary and very seductive. It almost has a neo-soul vibe to it, but definitely with Cheryl’s flavor. Check it out below, you will NOT be disappointed.
Cheryl has also toured with some of Tyler Perry’s stage plays singing and acting. She starred in Madea Gets A New Job. And previously, she had major roles in his plays Madea’s Class Reunion in 2003 and Why Did I Get Married? in 2006 and just last year she starred in Tyler’s “Woman Scorned” stage play to 2000+ audiences a lot of the times.
In one of Tyler’s special events, she belts out the Aretha Franklin classic “Dr. Feel Good.”
Still looking very good and her voice is as powerful as before; Cheryl, now a mature woman and artist proclaims “I’m a Grown, Loving, Giving Woman, Mother, Daughter, Auntie, Friend and Artist Who Gives and Commands Respect!” Yes ma’am. And we agree!

This song came out in 1988, the year I had my daughter, and it really hit home. Although her father was NOT “Father of the year”, I still thank God for my child…..and still do 27 years later.
