ILOSM fam,’ remember when TLC’s T-Boz and Westcoast rapper, Mack 10, jumped the broom back in the day? At that time, their union caught many fans off guard because from the outside looking in, it was like watching Whitney Houston marry Bobby Brown. As y’all know…when Bobby and Whitney first married, everybody and their mommas thought it was such and oil and water marriage that wasn’t gonna last. Yet, little did they know, Bobby and Whitney proved to everyone that they had “something in common,” just like their song. Anyways, as far as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Dedrick “Mack 10” Rolison’s union, turns out they didn’t have something in common…except for their daughter, Chase Rolison. How do we know that? Because they’re union didn’t last nowhere near as long as Bobby’s and Whitney’s.

It was 21 years ago that T-Boz and Mack 10 said “I do” in 2000. A few years later they separated, ultimately divorcing in 2004. Their divorce process uncovered several unfortunate details about their marriage, which we’ll get to in a minute. Despite their past marital turbulence, it is their daughter whom they’re most proud of…and she’s recently turned 21 years old!

Chase loves her parents, and sometimes pays homage to them on social media. In one tribute post to her mom, she wrote, “Y’all were raised by Karens, I was raised by Tionne.”

In June 2004, T-Boz reportedly filed for divorce and requested full custody of their then 3 year old daughter, Chase.

Via Today: She said she was leaving Mack 10’s home with Chase when the rapper grabbed their daughter out of the car and told T-Boz that she couldn’t leave. “My husband informed me that he would smash my teeth down my throat. I asked my husband to give my daughter back to me and I reached for her, and my husband pushed me to the ground twice.”

T-Boz Said The Worst Happened Next…

‘He Threatened To Kill Me’

“At that point, my husband grabbed me around my neck and choked me,” threatening to kill her, T-Boz said.

Mack 10 Responded: ‘Issa Lie’

Via Hello Beautiful: [Mack 10] denied the allegations back then saying in court documents that his wife has made the allegations “for the sole purpose of attempting to gain an advantage in these proceedings” and to prevent him from seeing their daughter.
