It seems like singer, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, is subliminally letting her husband, T.I., know he better not try her today. It all went down online, after T.I. shared a post that has sparked major controversy among his fans.
T.I.’s Marriage Advice
Tip is out here pissing off some and getting an ‘Amen’ from others. He re-shared a message directed toward men on Instagram, telling them why they shouldn’t get married. Here’s what the post he re-shared read:
Why men don’t marry. Because there’s nothing it for them: What exactly does marriage offer men today? “Men know there’s a good chance they’ll lose their friends, their respect, their space, their sex life, their money – and if it all goes wrong- their families,” says Helen Smith, Ph.D., author of “Men on Strike.” “They don’t want to enter into a legal contract with someone who would effectively take half their savings, pension, and property when the honeymoon period is over. Men aren’t wimping out by staying unmarried or being commitment phobes. They’re being smart.”
Unlike women, men lose all power after they say “I do.” They’re masculinity dies too.
Even though Tip made it clear that he did not write the post, he admitted that he agreed with some of it. ”Just found out some info out there that I thought I’d share…and mind you I DID NOT WRITE THIS, A WOMAN DID….but I do agree to a degree,” Tip wrote in his Instagram caption. It was only a matter of time before fans weighed in on the topic, prompting T.I. to further speak his mind in the comments.
There was one person Tip was definitely not trying to go at it with online though- his wife. You know, the only who holds the power to do the very thing to him that his post is against.
Tiny Claps Back With Help From Snoop
Tiny, however, took her subliminal shot -presumably at T.I.- on her own Instagram page. She shared a video of Snoop Dogg’s ‘Breakfast Club’ interview, in which he stressed the importance of male rappers maintaining their sanity, by keeping a good wife (or girlfriend) in their lives, instead of running around with and I quote, “Hoes.”

The Xscape singer caption her video post with this:
“Crown the KING who knows that his QUEEN is the most important piece on the board,” Tiny wrote. To put that extra stank on it, Tiny ended her message with hashtags that were clear indications she was clappin’ back at her husband: “#chessnotcheckers #CHECKMATE 🙏🏽👑🗝”
Tiny and T.I. have been on a bit of a roller coaster ride in their marriage as of late. In recent months, they appeared to be more ‘on’ than ‘off’ with their love for each other. Let’s not get it twisted just yet though, because Tiny still has those divorce papers pending at the Georgia courthouse…they’re just on ‘pause’ at the moment. I know one thing, if T.I. wants to hold on to his Queen and keep his family in tact, he might wanna take her subliminal #checkmate clap-back seriously.
