Tyler Perry, most known for his “Madea” character, is no stranger to action movies, like his 2012 film, Alex Cross. At that time, some folks doubted that Perry would be able to pull off an action character, but he proved errbody wrong, because although it wasn’t a mega-success, it still racked up $34.6 million at the box office. Now, he’s taking a step into a new arena- political suspense.
You might have recently seen Perry as “Madea“ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It’s the most recent release from Tyler’s appearances.

In the skit, “Madea” walks into the press room as Trump’s new communications director. As usual with Perry’s “Madea” character, it was a sketch-comedy.
HOWEVER, TYLER’S NEW ROLE ISN’T COMEDY AT ALL
According to Deadline, Perry is leaving his humorous side behind for the moment, to shoot a new Adam McKay film about former vice president, Dick Cheney.

McKay has cast Tyler to portray former four-star general, Colin Powell. During the Bush administration, Powell served as Secretary of State. The film will reportedly reveal some type of political games Dick Cheney pulled behind the public’s back, while Dick Cheney was trying to do the opposite. Check out the details below…
The source notes the following, regarding the former secretary:
“Powell…pressed the case for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, based on intelligence that Saddam Hussein was manufacturing weapons of mass destruction. None of the weapons Powell cited in his presentation to the United Nations was recovered after Iraq was routed.”
According to Adam McKay, several things happened during Bush’s 8 years, and he says Dick Cheney is at the center of it all. The Washington Post reports McKay as follows.
“A lot of crazy stuff happened during those eight years…and this is a vital puzzle piece in what got us to this moment with Donald Trump, with the world, as it is now, and Dick Cheney is at the center of it.”
YOU MIGHT KNOW PERRY’S CO-STARS
Nevertheless, although the movie hasn’t been titled yet, the source mentions that Perry will co-star with Christian Bale — who will be playing the role of Cheney.
If you’re unfamiliar with Bale’s works, he was Batman in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Also, he’s known for his crazed role in American Psycho.

Likewise, joining the cast is Steve Carell, as defense secretary, Donald Rumsfeld. Steve is definitely known for his comedic roles.
One in particular, is “Michael Scott” from the American version of The Office.

All in all, given the movie’s topic and cast, it looks like it’s going to be fairly interesting.
