As we all know by now, singer/actor, Tyrese Gibson, ain’t one to censor his words, nor his feelings when it comes to something that he feels is simply not right, unjust, or outright foul. This time around, the person on the receiving end of Tyrese’s real talk is Chris Rock.
Now before we break down what exactly was said, let’s first say that regardless of if we agree, or disagree with Tyrese’s opinion, there’s one thing we give him a ton of respect for, and that is for not playing the politically correct card like so many other celebs do, out of fear of public and industry backlash. Celebs are still people, with real emotions, thoughts, and opinions just like the rest of us, and who are we to pressure them into feeling as if they should not allow themselves to be real simply because they are celebrities? With that said, let’s discuss the shots fired that were Tyrese’s recent Instagram posts regarding Chris Rock and his bashing of Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Although it’s been a few days now since the biased Oscar Awards aired, the amount of backlash has not quite simmered across America, understandably so.
Tyrese took to his Instagram page shortly after finding out that Chris Rock blasted Jada and Will Smith for taking a stand against injustices with the Oscar Awards ceremony and it’s organization, so he decided to say something about it to the public:
A few days after the show aired the very LOW ratings for the ceremony were releaesed to the public, which were a direct result of the boycott that Jada and Will Smith helped to spark. Tyrese then posted this about:
