Usher’s accusers may not be making headlines as often these days, but that doesn’t mean they’ve stopped making demands. For his accusers, the situation is actually rather simple. They’re demanding that he just prove proof that he does not have Herpes.
Put It On Paper:
The attorneys of Usher’s accusers are reportedly asking for solid proof of medical testing that confirms whether or not the singer really has Herpes. According to Bossip, the three victims currently suing the singer are hoping that a judge will force the Confessions singer to take an STD test. It has been reported that Quantasia Sharpton’s celebrity attorney, Lisa Bloom, recently filed court documents in the L.A. County Superior Court demanding that the singer take a blood test to prove that he doesn’t have the herpes simplex virus like his defense team claims.
“Mr. Raymond’s counsel has also refused several requests that defendant submit proof that he does not have the virus to bring peace of mind to those with whom he has had sexual contact and to allow them to avoid the costs associated with their own medical testing,” Sharpton’s court docs said. Sharpton’s legal team is also requesting that Usher take the test by October 25 at one of the Atlanta-area Perimeter Clinics, where the results would take as little as three days to be returned.
Is It That Simple?:
To most people, it would seem like a blood test would put an end to all of the speculation and rumors, once and for all, right? So, if this would end all of the madness, why won’t Usher just take the test and why won’t his legal team provide the so-called proof they already claim to have? Initially, reports suggested Usher would be countersuing his accusers because he didn’t have Herpes, but the singer never actually confirmed the claims. For fans, this raises lots of speculation and of course, people still don’t believe Usher was intimate with Quantasia Sharpton but the hesitation has fans wondering what’s really going on. Of course, a few fans cited the possibility of HIPAA violations, but others agree that these rumors could have been refuted weeks ago unless Usher’s accusers are on to something. “The fact that he never publicly denied having it is proof enough. If he didn’t this story would’ve been squashed the same day it surfaced,” one reader said.
Only time will tell how this turns out for Usher, but right now it’s looking a bit speculative.
