Every now and then we all gotta get our ‘Electric Slide’ on -or as some of us from down south call it, we get our ‘Bus Stop on,’ especially when we have a small family gathering. That was the case for Beyonce and Jay Z, when they attended one of Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson’s, and actor, Richard Lawson’s (Bey’s father-in-law), morning warm-ups at their new Waco, TX theater.

In case y’all didn’t know, Mama Tina and Richard oftentimes share their early morning workouts on social media. Their workouts are simply dance routines to old school music and they serve a double purpose: to get fit and pump up their employees before a long day’s work. The Lawsons entice their staff to join them as they record their morning fitness shin-digs.

It looks like a lot of fun that makes then forget they’re even working out at all, and when you throw in Mama Tina’s superstar daughter and son-in-law, it makes it even cooler. So without further ado ladies and gents, we present to you Bey, Jay Z, Tina, Richard, and fam’ cuttin’ up to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s classic, “Before I Let Go”…

As you can see, just because Jay Z and Bey are collectively the ‘billion dollar couple,’ doesn’t mean they forgot where they came from. Whenever “Before I Let Go” comes on at a Black household and/or event, y’all know that’s when it’s time to drop whatever you’re doing and hit the makeshift dance floor, no matter where you are- the living room, kitchen, standing outside by the barbecue grill for 4th of July- wherever! That’s one unspoken rule that the Knowles, Carters, and Lawsons have NEVER forgotten.
