We all know Wendy Williams has been going through some things lately, but this right here was scary. Earlier today (10-31-17), during the live broadcasting of her show on the East Coast, everything seemed all good in the beginning. But about 48 minutes into the show, things took a turn for the worse.
Watch Wendy Williams Unfortunate Fainting Spell
As Wendy was filming the Halloween special for The Wendy Williams Show, she was dressed in an all green Statue of Liberty costume. She was smiling as she talked, but then appeared to try to hold it together. However, she then blinked faintly as she spoke into the camera. Backing away from the podium she was standing behind, she stumbled backwards, paused with a dazed confused look on her face, and then hit the floor. Fans immediately gasped and her production crew quickly came to her rescue. The screen went black and they cut to commercial. The fire department did confirm that they responded to a call from the studio as well.
By the time the show came back from commercial, Wendy was back on her feet and explained what happened. She says it was due to overheating in her costume:
WW: “That was not a stunt, I’m overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But you know what? I’m a champ and I’m BACK.”
The audience gave Wendy a big round of applause and Wendy then presumed with her Halloween show like a true pro.’
Listen, I’m not always ‘Team Wendy,’ but in this case I must give it to her, she really did bounce back like a champ and deserves her props for that. The only concern now, regarding her fainting spell, is that hopefully “overheating” was the only cause of it.
We all know Wendy has been dealing with the recent exposure of her husband’s reportedly 10 year affair with his mistress. She’s also been dealing with the backlash of some of her own doing. Take, for example, how Wendy recently threw major shade at Xscape singer, Tiny, in an effort to diss Tiny’s husband, T.I.’s, shade over her viral bikini pics. Many slammed Wendy for dissing Tiny, because she had nothing to do with T.I.’s comments.
And of course I could go on and on about the many times Wendy Williams has caused stress of her on, by doing others dirty in the media. However, I will not go there, because my momma always told me, “Never kick a person when they’re down.” Today is that day for Wendy, so I’ll end this with many well wishes to the controversial daytime TV diva.
