Can you say P-I-M-P? That’s right, our man Nicholas was a pimp while he and his fellow Whispers were singing some of the most classic and uplifting ballads soul music had ever heard! Nicholas confessed that he had a friend who was a pimp and that back in the day, pimping was a big thing. So Nicholas decided to try pimping out but he didn’t last long at all.

What happened was that very early on in his pimp adventure, one of the ladies apparently did something that most pimps would deem as wrong. His friend told him that he was not supposed to just kindly talk to her about messing up on the job, but that he was supposed to beat her. Nicholas looked at him and was like ‘hell no!’ He said he could not EVER think of putting his hands on a woman and from that moment on he ran away from pimping…
faster than he could he could break a pimp heel…LOL…
Ironically, the Whispers had gained a huge pimp following after the release of “Olivia,” the song about the young lady who lost her way to Grandmama’s house and met a pimp who turned her out. That song was actually uplifting for any young female in that position, and it was also anti-pimp so to speak, but for some odd reason the pimps loved it. They started showing up in huge numbers at all of the Whispers shows back in the day.

Well it’s good to know that Nicholas Caldwell has a good conscience. It just goes to show that we can’t always follow the trend, we have to follow the heart, that will always stir us in the right direction.
