Even our beloved Martin Luther King was addicted to something…of course it wasn’t nowhere near as hardcore as cocaine and heroine, but it was understandable nonetheless. Dr. King was an avid cigarette smoker, although most people didn’t know it at the time. After all that the man had to endure to push forward in his continued battle toward justice, it’s a good thing nicotine was the only thing he needed to calm his nerves. The average person could never handle that level of pressure.
