Chris’ ill-advised Instagram post was far from well received, with people coming at him all over Twitter for his tacky joke.
I was already disappointed in Chris Rock (who I've known for years) for finding humor in Louis C.K. & Ricky Gervais' use of the N-word. Now he's making fun of my dearly departed friend, Whitney Houston, on IG. Addiction is NOT a laughing matter. #PoorTaste #Disrespectful #GrowUp

Although there were some fans who found no issue with Chris’ joke one person, Whitney’s ex-husband Bobby Brown, was left baffled by the comment and had no problem with letting Chris know how disappointed he was. AOL reports;
The joke fell flat with commenters calling it “tasteless”, “trash,” “terrible” and “not funny,” but Bobby Brown, who was married to the “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” songstress from 1992 to 2007, was especially unimpressed. He posted several comments, including, “During this time of women empowerment you chose to use your time to try and humiliate our QUEEN!!!”
The New Edition singer also wrote, “I thought you was a friend of the family.”
Feeling the heat from the ether he received in the aftermath Chris has taken the post down, which just serves as a lesson that some things are untouchable. And even if we all poked fun at Whitney’s issues while she was alive in death we must respectfully move on and let her rest in peace.
