Whitney Elizabeth Houston died age 48 after accidentally drowning in a bath at The Beverly Hilton hotel.

A coroner’s report obtained by CNN states the beloved singer died of heart disease, with cocaine being a contributing factor.

During her life Houston released seven studio albums and two soundtrack albums.

All of those albums were either certified diamond, multi-platinum, platinum, or gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Whitney was married to New Edition star Bobby Brown from 1992 to 2007. They had one daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who sadly died at age 22 in 2015.

She was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home, and spent the final six months of her life in a medically induced coma.
