Martin’s cousin is 80’s rapper, Christopher “Play” Martin of the group, Kid N’ Play. Did you get this one right family?

Now when we think about those House Party movies, it was probably Play who helped get his cousin’s foot through the door. At the time, nobody knew who Martin Lawrence was and his role as the foul breathe DJ, “Bilal,” in the film was his breakout role. Play was the one on top at that time, with his Kid N’ Play success. Martin eventually came up and went from an unknown actor/struggling comedian, to making a whopping $20 mill’ per movie.
By the way this “Always and Forever” scene was funny. Remember this? (graphic language)
Speaking of House Party, here are a few Old School fun facts about the movie:

2. The production manager in the film’s credits is listed as Ozus Munny. Know why? Because the production manager quit before the film was wrapped, thus causing them to lose money…get it?
3. The dance that Kid N’ Play did in the film’s dance sequence is called the “Funky Charleston.” Actress, AJ Johnson, choreographed her and Tisha Campbell’s dance sequence.
