Another one of R Kelly’s accusers has spoken publicly for the first time. Lanita Carter claims the R&B superstar tried to force her to perform oral sex on him. But when she resisted, she alleges he ejaculated on her.
She Is Taking Her Claims To Court
“I’ve been carrying this since 2003,” Lanita Carter told CBS News.
“I have had to sit on a public bus and watch public conversation: ‘Did you hear about what they did with R. Kelly? They need to leave that man alone.’ And I can’t stand up for myself.'”
Carter is one of four women involved in the criminal case against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer. Chicago prosecutors have charged Kelly with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
A DNA Test Matched With R Kelly
Carter claims she worked as Kelly’s hairdresser in the early 2000s. During that time, Kelly reportedly pestered her for sex. When she refused, the Grammy-nominates singer allegedly masturbated on her.
According to court documents a shirt Carter submitted for DNA testing matches Kelly’s profile.
“If I die tomorrow, I know that I told the truth,’ she said. “It’s hard when it’s a celebrity. It’s not easy. Today I say no more,’ Carter continued.
