The time has come. Bill Cosby’s sex scandal trial is now under way. While many people are still giving Bill Cosby the side eye wondering if he’s really guilty of the heinous crimes he’s been accused of, there’s actually one Cosby Show star standing by his side. On Monday, June 5, Bill Cosby arrived at the Montgomery County Courthouse with Keshia Knight-Pulliam by his side, reports TMZ.
Standing With Bill:
It has been reported that the current trial is in reference to the allegations brought against Bill by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand. The woman claimed she was drugged and raped by Bill Cosby at his home in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. The incident is said to have taken place back in 2004. But despite the allegations, Keshia walked arm-in-arm into the courthouse with the 79-year-old comedian/actor who has served as a mentor for her since she was a little girl.
Bill Cosby is currently facing three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
Although many people believe Bill may have committed the crimes, he has always denied the claims for more than 10 years now. Back in 2015, Keshia shared a different perspective on the situation. She made it clear she can only speak about the man she personally knows. “What I can say is this: I wasn’t there. No one was there except for the two people who know exactly what happened,” Keyshia said.
She continued, “All I can speak to is the man that I know and I love. The fact that he’s been such an example, you can’t take away from the great that he has done. You know, the amount… the millions and millions of dollars that he has given back to colleges and education, and just what he did with ‘The Cosby Show’ and how groundbreaking that was.”
The Allegations:
The latest news follows months of controversy surrounding the allegations against Bill Cosby. For more than a year now, Bill Cosby has been getting the side eye from everyone over his alleged rape scandal. By now, most Cosby Show fans know there are more than 35 women who have accused Bill Cosby of drugging and raping them. The number of women increased so rapidly many people wondered if some of the women were lying. In fact, quite a few women actually even admitted they were lying which raises tons of questions about the entire case. But only time will tell if Bill Cosby is really the innocent man he adamantly insists he is.
