Okay so Spike Lee isn’t a comedian, but he did make it a point to put a fairly new comedian on the map back in the day, when he chose Robin Harris for several roles in Do the Right Thing, House Party and Mo Betta Blues.

Keenan Ivory Wayans gave Harris a shot also by casting him in I’m Gonna Git’ You Sucka and the late Robin Harris definitely held his own in all or these roles.
