Like we said, the brotha is making the Old School look good. He’s 67 years young now and has clearly been taking care of his health and staying on top of his physical fitness, so we’re not mad at that at all. Do your thing Carl!
So what has Carl been up too lately? He has two adult sons, he’s been married and divorced three times, with his last marriage lasting 17 months and ending in 2009. Here he is out recently with a new lady friend…
If you thought Carl was unemployed, think again. He always finds a way to keep his name in the game. Another thing we love to see, is an Old School actor still working and being fortunate enough to continue to do what he loves.
In 2009, Carl starred in the Fox sitcom, Brothers alongside another NFL player, turned actor, Michael Strahan, as well as actors, Darryl “Chill” Mitchell, Colton Dunn, and C.C.H. Pounder. In more recent years Carl’s had a Bud Light Beer endorsement, and has appeared in several of their commercials. He’s also on the United States Olympic Committee, which is fitting for him because as you know, Carl comes from an athletic background. Back in the day, he was a professional football player in the NFL and the Canadian league. He had a stint as a line backer for the Oakland Raiders, and then for Canada’s B.C. Lions.
Now as far as Carl and Sylvester Stallone, just a couple years prior to their feud, everything was cool as a fan between them. Here they are in 2003 having a good ol’ time at a Stallone’s brother, Frank Stallone’s record release party…
We’re not a hundred percent sure about the status of their relationship now, but word on the Old School curb is that Weathers and Stallone won’t get back to throwing playful jabs at each other at public events any time soon. Instead those punches might look more like this…
We’re only kidding, but hopefully they’ll shake it off and make up soon, if they haven’t found a way to do that yet.
Overall, it’s good to see Carl in great shape and still making his mark in entertainment. “Apollo Creed’s” legacy may have been killed off in Rocky IV, but Carl Weathers is still building his.
