Remember Calvin from 227? Yeah, he was Brenda’s (Regina King) crush on the show, which was played by Curtis Baldwin. He was Pearl’s (Helen Martin), grandson Calvin Dobbs, whom Brenda had a crush on but would finally date later in the series’ run.

After leaving “227” Baldwin went on to star in two other extremely successful sitcoms featuring black casts– in 1986 he landed on “Moesha” and three years later he starred on “Family Matters”. But now, he’s onto something different.
