As you know, Erykah Badu has quite the interesting blended hip hop/R&B offspring, with some of the most cold blooded hip hop artists to ever grace the rap game. Since we featured a story about she and Andre 3000’s son, Seven, who is like a clone of his Pops, we wanted to show some love to her beautiful middle child, her daughter, Puma. Puma is the product of Erykah’s and The D.O.C.’s (formerly of the 90’s rap group, NWA) previous union and she’ll be 12 years old this year.

So just in case any of us needed a reminder of just how Old School we really are and how fast time really flies, here it is, LOL.

A lot of people didn't even know that E. Badu and the D.O.C. were dating, let alone had a child together, but that was mainly because D.O.C. has remained somewhat out of the public's eye for many years. That doesn't mean he wasn't making major bread though- he's been a part of Dr. Dre's production/writing team for many years and he's also worked with Snoop on and off throughout the years. So The D.O.C.'s publishing and royalty checks have probably been good to him.

Erykah has created a peaceful tribe and we can’t do nothing but respect all four of them for handling their blended family situation like grown folks. Don’t you wish there was more unity, like this, among the many of baby daddy scenarios across the world? It would be a much more peaceful place if it were, but we all know that’s WAY easier said than done.
